Most of the ethnic groups in southwest China believe that we humans are an integral part of the cosmos, a view of the universe that can be traced back to the ancient Chinese civilization thousands years ago. They believe in the existence of divinities and express their faith through wearing their traditional garments in the modern society. The Yi ethnic groups embroidered on their clothes the original patterns of the mystical he-tu and luo-shu diagrams, holograms of the structure of the universe which are believed to be bestowed by God and handed down from before this civilization around 5500 years ago. The Miao ethnic groups dressed up in clothes embroidered with deities and divinities when they were in ceremonies worshiping the heavens and the gods, maintaining harmony between Man and Nature.

Wool Discovery Tour
About
Merino wool is God's gift to mankind, and its inherent uniqueness makes it nature's super wool. From Asia to the Atlantic Ocean to Europe, the love of wool has travelled through history.

New Zealand is proud of the Merino Wool, considered to be the oldest breed of sheep in the world. Renowned for their fine, soft wool and ability to thrive in extreme climates, Merino sheep are able to survive the heat and cold of New Zealand's rugged Southern Alps, unlike the common sheep that graze in the lowlands, and their ability to survive these extreme conditions is due to the incredible natural engineering of their wool. In summer Merino's wool is super light and breathable, keeping them cool in temperatures up to +30°C. In winter, Merino's wool is used in a warmer environment. In winter, Merino sheep grow an extra layer of wool on top of their undercoat to protect them from temperatures that can drop as low as -10°C. This is why Merino wool products are known for being the best wool in the world. That's why Merino wool products are world-renowned for their natural luxury, quality and performance.

Wool Transformation
MAGIC

Turkish Spinning Wheel
The history of the spinning wheel dates back more than 30,000 years and is one of the earliest production tools used by various ethnic groups. What I love about the Turkish spinning wheel is its winding process, the orderly rhythm of which makes a beautiful cone at the end.

Hand Carders
The wool from the sheep is not ready for immediate use and, after washing, needs to be carefully brushed. The brushing technique is very important as it affects the fibre condition of the wool.

Spinning wheel
The carded wool needs a spinning wheel to turn it into yarn for spinning. Hand and foot co-operation is the leap from the spinning wheel to the spinning wheel.

Like a little pink cherry blossom.
And float in the wind.

Little cape
--Moana
Moana, the Maori word for sea, is also the god of the ocean in Polynesian mythology. There's a little bit of magic that makes this cloak wearable in nine different ways - isn't that just so self-conscious?
